Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Wednesday announced the release of P476.49 million in allowance payouts for senior citizens, solo parents, and persons with disability (PWDs) from 28 to 30 January 2026.
The announcement was made during a Facebook livestream on 21 January, where the mayor said a total of 282,040 beneficiaries—including senior citizens, solo parents, adult PWDs, and PWD minors—are expected to receive allowances during the three-day payout period.
The January payout will cover arrears from September to December 2025 for solo parents and PWDs, and October to December 2025 for senior citizens.
“Nabawasan na po si Judith (due date),” Francisco Domagoso said, referring to the reduction of overdue allowance obligations.
The payout schedule will be implemented by district, with Districts 1 and 2 scheduled on 28 January, Districts 3 and 4 on 29 January, and Districts 5 and 6 on 30 January, covering all beneficiary groups.
Based on figures presented during the announcement, 205,505 senior citizens will receive a total of P325.839 million, covering allowances from October to December 2025.
Allowances for 16,673 solo parents will amount to P33.346 million, while 49,687 adult PWDs will receive P97.458 million, both covering the period from September to December 2025.
An additional P19.845 million has been allocated for 10,175 PWD minors, bringing the total January 2026 payout to P476.488 million.
The mayor also cited validation by the city treasurer showing that more than P700.315 million in allowances and pensions for senior citizens, PWDs, and solo parents had already been released from July to December 2025, including both city-funded allowances and national government-funded social pensions coursed through the city.
