BAGUIO CITY — One of the co-accused of former senator Ramon Revilla Jr. in the alleged ghost flood control project has been arrested in Benguet, the police said.

The Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group–Mountain Province Provincial Field Unit confirmed that Christina Mae del Rosario Pineda, 38, a cashier at the Department of Public Works and Highways Bulacan First District Engineering Office, was taken into custody in the early hours of 20 January 2026.

Police said Pineda was arrested at around 12:40 a.m. along Halsema Highway in Barangay Bangao, Buguias, Benguet, while she was reportedly visiting Mountain Province. She was later transported to Region 3 at about 5 a.m.

The arrest followed the issuance of a warrant by the Sandiganbayan Third Division on 19 January 2026. The court also issued a hold departure order against Revilla and six other respondents in the case.

Pineda and the other accused are facing charges of malversation of public funds in connection with the alleged P92.8 million ghost flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan.

The CIDG National Office coordinated with CIDG Cordillera in carrying out the arrest and transporting the suspect back to Central Luzon for further proceedings.
