Omoda & Jaecoo builds global presence in 2025

DT

Omoda & Jaecoo posted strong gains across global markets in 2025 as sales climbed while the brand widened its footprint to 64 countries within three years.

Total global deliveries passed 800,000 units, placing the marque among the fastest-growing automotive names in recent years.

Growth came from Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America, with Europe standing out due to rising market share in the United Kingdom and Italy.

New energy vehicles played a central role, supported by the SHS Super Hybrid System and a growing electric lineup.

In the United Kingdom, Jaecoo received Carwow Brand of the Year 2026, while the Jaecoo 7 and Omoda 5 earned separate model honors.

Spain added another technology award after Autobild named the SHS Super Hybrid System its Technology of the Year.

Southeast Asia delivered both trophies and sales momentum. Thailand named the Jaecoo J5 EV as Car of the Year and recognized the J7 SHS-P as Best PHEV SUV.

Malaysia granted multiple awards to the J7 and J8. Indonesia hosted a long-distance test where the J8 SHS recorded a verified 1,660-kilometer driving range, earning a Guinness World Record.

Autocosmos Chile named the Omoda C5 and Jaecoo 5 as Most Recommended Vehicles of the Year, while Brazil recognized the J7 SHS as Mid-Size Hybrid of the Year.

At IAA Mobility in Germany, Omoda & Jaecoo displayed their hybrid and electric portfolio alongside core SHS technology, drawing attention from European media and industry visitors.

The brand later appeared at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom, where several models ran in front of motorsport and performance audiences.

A global campaign tied the vehicles to the Jurassic World film franchise, which reaches entertainment audiences beyond car buyers.

The brand also appeared at cultural and lifestyle events, including Madcool Festival in Spain, São Paulo Fashion Week, British Vogue Fashion Awards, GQ Men of the Year, Lucca Comics and Games in Italy, Durban July in South Africa and Miss Vietnam.

Parent firm Chery Group ranked 233rd on the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list and reported cumulative exports above five million vehicles. Chery continues to support Omoda & Jaecoo as part of its overseas expansion strategy.

Omoda focuses on crossover vehicles, while Jaecoo develops off-road-styled models. Both lines continue to push hybrid and electric technology through the SHS system.

The brand also introduced an intelligent service robot developed with the AiMOGA team, which entered public service use and appeared at the Asian Youth Para Games.

By the end of 2025, Omoda & Jaecoo combined sales growth, awards, event exposure and technology rollouts into a single year of rapid global progress.
