South Korean star and former Super Junior member Kangin made an emotional comeback, reconnecting with fans during his first fan meeting tour at the SM North EDSA Skydome on 11 January.
Speaking before Filipino ELFs (Super Junior’s fandom), Kangin expressed heartfelt gratitude as he returned to the stage after more than a decade away.
“This is such a wonderful memory. The more you wait for me, the harder I will try my best,” he said.
The fan meet was divided into several segments, beginning with “In the Stunning Performance,” where Kangin showcased his signature moves to KPop Demon Hunters’ “Soda Pop” and even took on the Filipino dance craze “Budots,” drawing cheers from the crowd.
In the “In the Game Together” segment, Kangin played charades with a fan before performing the tracks “Mientes” and the unreleased song “Love is Pain.”
The night ended on a high note as Kangin surprised fans with Super Junior’s “Pajama Party,” personally handing out roses to the audience.
Stunning Together marks Kangin’s first solo event in years, following his departure from Super Junior in 2019. He debuted with the group in 2005 and remained an active member until his career shifted in 2009, when a series of issues led to a hiatus and military enlistment. Although he resumed entertainment activities after completing his service, further challenges forced another extended break.
In 2023, Kangin signed a new contract with SM Entertainment, and in 2024, he launched the fan communication app Bubble, sharing updates, including a new profile photoshoot — sparking speculation about his return to solo projects.
In March 2025, Kangin reunited with international fans during a fan meeting in Mexico. With the launch of his first fan meeting tour, the Manila stop signals his official return as a solo artist.
