The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) has partnered with the Philippine Postal Corp. to streamline international shipping for local artisans and consumers ahead of the Likhang Filipino trade exhibition.
Under the agreement, PHLPost will serve as an acceptance post office for Express Mail Service shipments. The initiative, which launches Thursday, coincides with the opening of Likhang Filipino, a program designed to showcase Philippine design and craftsmanship to a global audience.
The partnership aims to assist local producers and buyers by providing a reliable and secure courier service. The PHLPost Mega Manila Area will manage the processing, documentation and dispatch of parcels to ensure timely delivery to international markets.
“This initiative strengthens our commitment to empower Filipinos to promote and ship homegrown products on the global stage,” said acting postmaster general and CEO Maximo C. Sta. Maria III. “By providing accessible and dependable logistics services, we help bridge local craftsmanship to international opportunities.”
Officials said the collaboration supports micro, small, and medium enterprises by reducing the logistical hurdles of cross-border trade. CITEM’s Likhang Filipino program focuses on innovation and traditional craftsmanship, and the use of the Express Mail Service provides participants with trackable delivery for their goods.
The government-led partnership is part of a broader effort to boost Philippine trade and promote “Filipino-made” products in the global marketplace.
