The local government of Muntinlupa City will offer free non-scalpel vasectomies and bilateral tubal ligations on 19 January as part of an expanded local reproductive health program.
The procedures will be performed at the Southville Health Center starting at 8 a.m. Participation is limited to 50 residents on a first-come, first-served basis.
The City Health Office said Wednesday that slots are still available as medical teams continue to evaluate potential patients.
Applicants must undergo pre-procedure counseling and a medical assessment to determine their eligibility.
“We cannot yet say whether the slots are already complete since the health centers are still assessing patients who want to avail of the service,” the health office said in a statement.
Officials encouraged interested residents to visit their nearest local health center or the Reproductive Health Clinic at Laguerta Health Center immediately for screening.
The initiative is part of the city’s broader effort to provide accessible family planning services to its constituents.
