Alyssa Redondo returns to Miss Intercontinental as judge

A year after commanding global attention on the Miss Intercontinental stage, Alyssa Redondo is returning to the prestigious pageant with a new role—this time, as one of its official judges.

The organization behind Miss Intercontinental has confirmed that Redondo will be part of the judging panel for the 2026 coronation night, scheduled on 29 January in Sahl Hasheesh. Her appointment follows a standout performance in her most recent stint as a competitor, where she finished in the Top 3 and emerged as one of the pageant’s most talked-about delegates.

Redondo’s journey resonated beyond placements. During her run, she became the first Filipina to receive the pageant’s “Power of Beauty” recognition, cementing her reputation as a delegate whose advocacy, presence, and performance left a lasting impression. Her return as a judge signals the organization’s confidence in her perspective—and underscores how former contenders can evolve into leaders shaping the future of international pageantry.

On coronation night, Redondo will be seated alongside the reigning titleholder, Maria Cepero, and a select group of international personalities tasked with choosing the next queen. Pageant officials have also clarified that the upcoming show carries the 2026 designation, following a year without a crowned winner.

Meanwhile, the Philippines once again enters the competition spotlight, with Christina Vanhefflin of Leyte set to compete under the Mutya ng Pilipinas banner. With Redondo now on the other side of the table, Filipino pageant fans are closely watching how her experience as a former frontrunner might influence the final outcome.

Redondo’s appointment is more than a personal milestone—it reflects the growing visibility of Filipinas not just as competitors, but as respected voices in global pageant leadership.
