The Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will present “LEGACY: Carmen Sipin-Aspiras and Inna Montesclaros, pianists,” a benefit concert featuring two generations of Filipino pianists, on 25 January 2026, 7:30 p.m., at the Proscenium Theater, Rockwell, Makati City.
The concert will form part of the MSO’s centennial activities and will be mounted by the Manila Symphony Orchestra Foundation, Inc. in partnership with The HSTL Foundation. The orchestra will be conducted by Darrell Ang, with Carmencita Sipin-Aspiras and Inna Montesclaros appearing as soloists.
The program will feature works by Johannes Brahms and Frédéric Chopin, including Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat major, which will be performed by Montesclaros with the MSO.
Sipin-Aspiras, who will be featured as one of the soloists, is known for her early orchestral debut at age 10 and her subsequent studies in Austria. Montesclaros will return to the MSO stage after her orchestral debut with the ensemble at age 11 and her later concert career.
The concert will be a benefit performance for the Basilio Manalo Scholarship Program, which will continue to support young Filipino musicians pursuing formal music education.
Tickets will be available via TicketWorld, with prices set between P1,000 and P3,000. Discounts will be offered to senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and students.
“LEGACY” will follow the MSO’s 100th Anniversary Concert on 22 January 2026 and will form part of the orchestra’s year-long centennial celebrations.
