Over P600k shabu seized in separate buy-bust operations in Rizal

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) arrested three individuals and seized more than 90 grams of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations in the municipalities of San Mateo and Rodriguez, Rizal province on Sunday.

In the first operation, conducted around 7:14 PM in Barangay Silangan, the San Mateo Municipal Police Station arrested two suspects, identified only by their aliases as "Cath" and "Rocky," after they were found in possession of seven sachets of suspected shabu.

The seized items weighed approximately 60 grams, with an estimated standard drug price of P408,000.

Meanwhile, at around 8:40 PM in Barangay San Rafael, Rodriguez, the Rizal Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation against alias "Gido," which resulted in the confiscation of approximately 30 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P204,000.

All arrested suspects are currently facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The confiscated evidences were brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination, while the suspects are detained in their respective custodial facilities for documentation and proper disposition. NEIL ALCOBER
