CLARK FREEPORT ZONE — At least 25 job seekers were hired on the spot during a job fair that offered 2,930 vacancies at the Clark Events and Conference Hall on January 9, 2026.

The job fair was organized by the Clark Development Corporation and the Department of Labor and Employment, drawing 236 job seekers and 29 locators from the Clark Freeport Zone.

Available positions covered various industries, including information and communications technology, tourism, services, industrial, commercial, and aviation.

The initiative was led by CDC President and CEO Agnes VST Devanadera, with CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance Jose Miguel de la Rosa representing her during the program.

Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office III Director Geraldine Panlilio underscored the importance of sustained collaboration between agencies and stakeholders.

Former employees of Charter Link Clark Inc. and La Rose Noire Philippines Inc. were among those who attended the job fair. Corazon Austria, a former Charter Link employee, welcomed the streamlined process.

Other applicants cited the convenience of having multiple employers in one venue.

"The employers here are accommodating and friendly. Madaling madali mag-apply. Nakatulong dahil air-conditioned ang venue. Sulit ang time at energy. Pagdating mo rito, maraming employer ang naghihintay. Pipili ka na lang kung saan ka mag-aapply," added Hershey Figueroa, also a former Charter Link employee.

Walk-in applicant Jervy Guevarra was among those hired immediately.

Aside from recruitment booths, the job fair also featured services for SSS Unemployment Insurance Benefits, the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program, the Emergency Employment Program, as well as labor advisories and help desk assistance.

The activity was organized through CDC’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Placement Division under the External Affairs Department, headed by Assistant Vice President Rommel Narciso.
