BALIWAG, Bulacan — BYD has opened its first dealership in Bulacan, adding a new location to its Philippine network and establishing an electric vehicle showroom in Central Luzon.
The new site, BYD Baliwag, held its grand opening at its showroom in Baliwag City. Dealership executives, brand officials, and local government representatives attended the event.
The opening program began with a motorcade through key roads in the city. A ribbon-cutting followed at the dealership grounds.
Those present included Anton Macasieb, president of BYD Baliwag, Erroll Duenas, country head of BYD Philippines, and Lovelyn Labrador, deputy general manager of BYD Philippines.
Macasieb said the Baliwag showroom is BYD’s first location in the province. He said the dealership supports the broader shift toward electric vehicles in Bulacan.
He spoke about reduced noise on local roads and improved air quality as more motorists consider electric mobility.
Macasieb also said the facility was completed within six months. He acknowledged the dealership team and the contractors involved in the project.
Vice Mayor Ferdie Estrella attended the opening and delivered remarks on behalf of Mayor Sonia “Mommy” Estrella. Estrella said the city government plans to transition its service vehicles to electric models. He said the proposal covers vehicles used by City Hall and other local offices.
Estrella said the city views electric vehicles as a workable option for government use. He referred to fuel use among conventional fleets and said electric vehicles could help lower operating costs.
He added that the city plans to source vehicles from BYD Baliwag once procurement plans move ahead.
The event included traditional Chinese dragon and lion dances at the dealership. A blessing followed. A ceremonial turnover of keys then took place between ACMobility and the dealer principal.
BYD Baliwag operates as a full-service dealership. It offers vehicle sales and provides after-sales support, including parts and maintenance.
The facility is expected to serve customers from Baliwag and nearby towns across Bulacan and other parts of Central Luzon.
The opening places BYD closer to customers outside Metro Manila. The Baliwag dealership adds to the brand’s expanding retail network in the Philippines as interest in electric vehicles grows among private buyers and public institutions.
BYD Baliwag has begun operations as the brand’s first official dealership in Bulacan and one of its newest locations in Central Luzon.
