The cast performance schedule for Bagets The Musical is out, with two alternating ensembles for the stage adaptation of the 1984 coming-of-age drama. The musical, produced by Newport World Resorts, adapts the film originally produced by Viva Films and directed by Maryo J. de los Reyes.
The stage production will be performed by two sets of cast members. Set 1 features Andres Muhlach as Adie, Ethan David as Arnel, Milo Cruz as Tonton, Jeff Moses as Topee, and Tomas Rodriguez as Gilbert. Their scheduled performances are on 23 January at 8 p.m., 25 January at 3 p.m., and 31 January at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Set 2 is led by Mico Chua as Adie, with KD Estrada as Arnel, Migo Valid as Tonton, Sam Shoaf as Topee, and Noel Comia Jr. as Gilbert. This cast will perform on 24 January at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., 30 January at 8 p.m., and 1 February at 3 p.m.
The gala night performance on 29 January at 8 p.m. will feature Muhlach, Estrada, Cruz, Moses, and Rodriguez. Cast members are scheduled to appear on their indicated dates, with alternates performing in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
The original film starred Aga Muhlach, William Martinez, JC Bonnin, and Raymond Lauchengco as the barkada. The popularity of the cast contributed to the film’s box-office success, which later led to sequels released within the same decade.
Bagets The Musical is staged by PETA Plus and produced by Newport World Resorts with Philippine STAR and Viva Communications, in cooperation with Sun Life Philippines. The show runs from 23 January to March 2026 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
