TV and global films fuel January streaming

HBO Max is launching the year with a packed January lineup featuring returning hit series, major film premieres, and expanded Korean entertainment offerings.

Leading the month’s highlights is the second season of Max Original The Pitt, starring Emmy Award winner Noah Wyle. HBO Originals also make a strong showing with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and the fourth season of Industry. Film fans can look forward to the arrival of the critically acclaimed One Battle After Another, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn.

Strengthening its regional slate, HBO Max has unveiled a new TVING-branded hub that brings exclusive TVING originals and selected titles from CJ ENM and TVING to the platform. Among the featured titles are Dear X, Villains, and ongoing episodes of The Judge Returns, led by Ji Sung as Lee Han-young. The series follows a corrupt judge who suffers an unjust death and is sent back in time to atone for his past actions.

January also sees a steady rollout of new films on the platform, including Jurassic World Rebirth, Trust, All the Devils Are Here, and Smurfs (2025), with select titles also airing on HBO in primetime.

On the series front, viewers can expect new episodes of animated favorites such as Talking Tom Heroes: Suddenly Super and Tiny Toons Looniversity Season Two, alongside the premieres of Ponies and continued weekly episodes of The Judge Returns. The month will also mark the finales of Villains and Amadeus.

Rounding out the lineup is a slate of reality programming that includes The Cult Behind the Killer: The Andrea Yates Story, Wildcard Kitchen Season Two, Ed Stafford’s Rite of Passage, and the return of The Curious Case of… for a second season.
