Figaro Culinary Group has established and expanded a new subsidiary aimed at boosting its food manufacturing capability and preparing for future export opportunities.
The company said Figaro Innovation and Development Inc. (FIDI), a wholly owned subsidiary, was created to broaden the group’s food product offerings, enhance production efficiency, and support long-term growth beyond its retail operations.
The move was marked by the recent ceremonial signing of a supplemental agreement between FIDI and Philippine Economic Zone Authority in Pasay City. The agreement reaffirmed FIDI’s status as a PEZA-registered export enterprise, allowing it to continue operations at the Laguna Technopark–Special Economic Zone.
Under the agreement, FIDI will manufacture products such as Anghel Kape and other food innovations under the Figaro Culinary Group portfolio, while positioning itself for potential export markets.
FIDI serves as the group’s innovation and manufacturing arm, enabling Figaro to scale food production beyond its restaurant and café brands. The company said the subsidiary will focus on developing new food formats, improving production efficiency, and strengthening quality standards aligned with international requirements.
The supplemental agreement builds on FIDI’s existing PEZA Certificate of Registration, which recognizes the company as an export enterprise engaged in toll manufacturing of coffee mixes and other food products.
The agreement was signed by Brian Gregory Liu, chairman of Figaro Innovation and Development Inc.; PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga; PEZA Deputy Director General Joy Anidelle Alguso; and FIDI Chief Financial Officer Jose Petronio Español.
“This agreement supports Figaro Culinary Group’s broader vision of expanding its food platforms beyond retail, strengthening manufacturing, and positioning our brands for future growth,” Español said.
Panga said companies such as FIDI play an important role in promoting innovation, development, and inclusive growth within economic zones.
Figaro Coffee Group Inc., the parent company, operates several food and beverage brands through its subsidiary Figaro Coffee Systems Inc., including Figaro Coffee, Angel’s Pizza, Tien Ma’s, Koobideh Kebabs, and Café Portofino.
