Miss Universe co-owner Raul Rocha has reaffirmed his ownership of the pageant following news that Chavit Singson is reportedly interested in buying the organization.
"I'm fed up with that delusional fool and his daughter making statements, dreaming of something he wouldn't be able to achieve in a hundred years. Keep dreaming, my lawyers will put an end to your fairy tales," Rocha wrote on an Instagram story, accompanied by the photo of Miss Universe Organization's statement.
In December last year, Singson made headlines for expressing interest in acquiring the organization. Recent posts included talks with his daughter, Congresswoman Richelle Singson, and former pageant Vice President Shawn McClain regarding their alleged attempt to acquire the organization.
“We look forward to having discussions with the rightful owners, the creditors they defrauded,” Singson wrote online.
He also claimed that owners Anne Jakrajutatip and Raul Rocha “both have arrest warrants against them.”
In November 2025, JKN Global Group founder Jakrajutatip faced controversy over allegations of fraud and was sentenced to two years in prison. A month later, Rocha was reported to be under investigation for alleged involvement in drugs, arms, and fuel trafficking.
In a statement this January, Miss Universe clarified its current ownership and said the organization is "actively reviewing these matters with its legal advisors and will take all appropriate and necessary steps to address and prevent further false, misleading, or unauthorized actions or statements."
