The Quezon City Police District (Quezon City Police District) on New Year’s Day reported that security coverage for the New Year’s countdown events at Quezon Memorial Circle, Nova Park, and Eastwood in Quezon City was successfully implemented.

QCPD Acting District Director P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio said no major untoward incidents were recorded during the celebrations.

He said the peaceful outcome was attributed to the strategic deployment of sufficient police personnel, supported by other government agencies and force multipliers, which ensured the orderly conduct of the events and the safety of the public.

Silvio added that the strict enforcement of regulations, including the prohibition of dangerous and illegal firecrackers and pyrotechnics, significantly contributed to the safe and peaceful celebration.

“We extend our gratitude to our QCPD personnel, the Quezon City Local Government Unit (QC-LGU) headed by our beloved City Mayor Hon. Josefina Joy Belmonte, force multipliers, and other stakeholders who collaborated with the QCPD for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the success of Ligtas Salubong 2026. As a result, no untoward incidents occurred, allowing our QCitizens to celebrate safely and without interruption,” Silvio said.
