More Filipinos expressed disapproval of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s performance toward the end of the year, with 48 percent giving him a negative rating, according to the latest Pulse Asia survey.
The nationwide survey, conducted from 12 to 15 December, involved face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults aged 18 and above. It had a margin of error of ±2.8 percent at the 95 percent confidence level, while regional estimates for Metro Manila, Luzon outside the capital, the Visayas, and Mindanao had a ±5.7 percent margin of error.
From September to December 2025, the President’s overall trust rating remained largely steady, except in Metro Manila, where his indecision rating fell by 13 points but his distrust score climbed 17 points.
Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte continued to enjoy strong trust among the respondents.
Her approval rating inched up to 56 percent in December — one point higher than in September — keeping her well ahead of President Marcos in public confidence, despite a slight dip from earlier in the year.
