The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) launched the Innovation Hub (iHub) at the DOST Building inside the DOST Compound of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, on 26 December 2025.
The iHub was established through the DOST Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) Nueva Ecija and is the third iHub in Central Luzon.
The first two iHubs are located at the DOST Regional Office in the Diosdado Macapagal Government Center in City of San Fernando, Pampanga, and at the DOST PSTO-Bulacan Building in Malolos City, Bulacan. These were launched during the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week in Central Luzon in November.
The establishment of the iHubs follows the directive of DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr. and is implemented through the Office of the Undersecretary for Regional Operations led by Sancho A. Mabborang.
The iHubs are intended to support technology-based enterprises, research and development activities, and collaboration among local industries, startups, and academic institutions by providing shared facilities and technical and business support.
DOST Central Luzon Regional Director Julius Caesar V. Sicat and DOST PSTO Nueva Ecija Provincial Director Leidi Mel B. Sicat attended the launch.

The first two are the DOST Regal iHub at the DOST Building, DM Government Center, Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, and the DOST Bulacan iHub at the DOST PSTO-Bulacan Building in Malolos, Bulacan. These launches were part of the celebration of the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week in Central Luzon last November.
The establishment of the iHubs is a directive from DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr., implemented thru the Office of the Undersecretary Sancho A. Mabborang.
These innovation hubs aim to foster a dynamic ecosystem for technology-based enterprises, research and development, and collaborative innovation. They are designed to empower local industries, startups, and academic institutions by providing access to cutting-edge facilities, technical expertise, and business support services.
DOST Central Luzon Regional Director Dr. Julius Caesar V. Sicat emphasized the transformative potential of the iHubs in driving regional development.
He said that iHubs are not just facilities, but are catalysts for change.
He added that these iHubs embody DOST's commitment to harness science, technology, and innovation to create opportunities, solve challenges, and build a resilient and competitive Central Luzon.
DOST PSTO Nueva Ecija Provincial Director Leidi Mel B. Sicat attended the event, citing the collaborative efforts that made the iHub possible. The hub is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing the region's innovation landscape, aligning with DOST's vision for 2026 to strengthen the integration of science and technology in national and regional development.
