Most of the Philippines will see isolated rain and thunderstorms as warm winds from the Pacific and the cold northeast monsoon continue to affect the archipelago, state weather forecasters said.
In its advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the easterlies will bring scattered rains to the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Quezon province, Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte.
The same weather system will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers across Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, locally known as the amihan, is affecting Northern and Central Luzon. Cloudy skies with rain are expected in Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora.
The amihan will also bring isolated light rains and partly cloudy skies to the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the remainder of the Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon.
The weather bureau also issued a warning for mariners. Strong northeast winds are expected to cause rough seas in Northern Luzon.
Coastal waters in Central Luzon and the eastern section of Southern Luzon are also forecast to be moderate to rough.
