Magnolia taps Tenorio as playing coach

Magnolia head coach LA Tenorio will make his return as a player as they face TNT tomorrow in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup.

The league announced on Saturday that the 41-year-old Tenorio was activated to replace Paul Lee, who suffered a hamstring injury in their 92-101 loss to Rain or Shine last Monday in Bahrain.

The Hotshots will face the Tropang 5G at the Smart Araneta Coliseum at 5:15 p.m.

Tenorio will join an elite group of playing coaches that includes Ramon Fernandez, Norman Black, the late Bobby Parks, and cage great Robert Jaworski Sr.
