DepEd begins releasing year-end incentives to personnel

Neil Alcober

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Saturday began releasing year-end incentives to teachers and non-teaching personnel across the country.

The incentives include the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI), Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI), Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive for eligible personnel, and gratuity pay for contract-based workers.

Around 1 million DepEd employees are covered. Teachers and non-teaching personnel will receive P20,000 for SRI and P5,000 for PEI. Non-teaching staff will receive an additional P10,000 CNA incentive. Contract of service and job order workers are set to receive up to P7,000 in gratuity pay, depending on the length of service.

DepEd said the SRI will be released in parts, beginning with an initial tranche this December. The first release will range from at least P10,000 to P14,500 per eligible employee, with the balance to be released after the approval of requests for modification of allotments.

Eligible recipients include DepEd personnel with regular, contractual, and co-terminus appointments across central, regional, division, and school offices.

Separately, the PEI will be provided to eligible personnel under Executive Order No. 201 to support productivity in government service. The incentive is given in addition to other bonuses.

Gratuity pay will be given to DepEd workers under Contract of Service and Job Order arrangements, ranging from P4,000 to P7,000 depending on the length of service. Releases will be handled by central and regional offices according to their internal arrangements.

The P10,000 CNA incentive for eligible non-teaching personnel with regular, contractual, and co-terminus appointments is scheduled for release in January 2026.
