Damosa Land Inc. will open Mindanao’s first international-branded hotel, TRYP by Wyndham Samal, alongside the government’s first approved rental pool program.
The company said Thursday that the planned four-star, 100-room condotel, backed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, is projected to generate P1.2 billion in sales.
“With TRYP by Wyndham Samal launching next year, we are entering a new chapter that elevates tourism, accelerates estate development, and unlocks greater opportunities for communities and businesses across the region,” said Ricardo F. Lagdameo, President of Damosa Land, Inc.
“Our trajectory in 2025 reflects the confidence investors have in Mindanao and our long-term commitment to its growth.”
Beyond hospitality, Damosa Land expanded its residential, industrial, and IT estates.
At Anflo Industrial Estate, Thai Coconut invested 430 million Baht in a coconut milk facility, while GMAC Logitech Refrigeration plans to expand in early 2026.
Construction of the San Pedro Substation is set to go online by June 2026.
The Damosa IT Park welcomed CloudStaff, and Kahi Estates, Davao City’s first sustainable agri-residential community, continues development with fully underground utilities.
Damosa Land also strengthened global partnerships and community programs. Its tie-up with Jones Lang LaSalle enhances estate management and investor services.
Community initiatives include supporting UP PSAE, scholarships for student-athletes at Adamson University, and grassroots football programs with Kaya Football Academy.
The company further promoted Samal as a sports and wellness hub by hosting the IRONMAN 5150 triathlon at Bridgeport, attracting athletes and local businesses.
“Looking ahead to 2026, we remain committed to driving innovation, creating opportunities, and building a Mindanao that sets the standard even on the world stage,” Lagdameo said.
