Big-time contractor Cezarah “Sarah” Discaya has been temporarily released from the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to attend a hearing before the Office of the City Prosecutor (OCP) of Malabon in connection with a case filed against her by the Malabon City government.

Department of Justice (DOJ) spokesman Polo Martinez confirmed that Discaya requested permission from the NBI to appear at the OCP Malabon hearing, which is part of the preliminary investigation into the complaint.

NBI Acting Director Angelito Magno said Discaya remains under NBI custody but may be released temporarily to attend hearings, as no arrest warrant has been issued against her.

Magno added that her continued detention is temporary and subject to existing legal procedures.
