The University of Santo Tomas (UST) has released the official guidelines and program flow for the Grand Paskuhan Concert 2025 to be held at its Manila and General Santos campuses.
In a memorandum dated 13 December, the Office of the Secretary General announced that the Paskuhan concert at the UST Manila campus on 19 December will be observed as a “carless day.” The main concert program will run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., divided into two segments, with Act 1 scheduled from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Act 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., culminating in the traditional grand fireworks display.
Pre-concert activities will begin earlier in the day, including “Thomasian Beats,” a pre-concert disk jockey set facilitated by TOMCAT-UST, and “Songs of Light and Hope,” a musical performance by the Junior High School Glee Club at the grand staircase of the UST Main Building at 1:30 p.m. Meanwhile, raffle draws for Paskuhan will be held at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. at the lobby of the Buenaventura Garcia Paredes O.P. Building.
Campus access during the event will be regulated, with designated gates assigned for students, university staff, alumni, parishioners, hospital visitors, artists, suppliers, and medical personnel. Students and university personnel may enter through Gates 1, 3, 9, and 14, including the link bridge, subject to inspection procedures. Exit points for this group are Gates 2, 7, 10, and 14. The University reminded all attendees to comply with prescribed security inspection procedures, as well as health and safety guidelines.
Participants are also encouraged to don retro-inspired attire reflecting the bold, vibrant, and visionary styles of the 1960s and 1970s, in keeping with this year’s Paskuhan theme.
Meanwhile, UST General Santos will hold its Paskuhan activities on 18 December. The celebration will begin with the “Panunuluyan” at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Paskuhan Mass at 10 a.m., to be presided over by Fr. Quirico Peregosa Jr., O.P.
The campus concert in General Santos is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and will feature student performances, dance productions, and a band performance. The evening program will conclude with the singing of the UST Hymn, followed by a DJ performance and foam party from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
