More than P11 million worth of illegal drugs were seized from two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal, early Sunday morning, 14 December.
Rizal police provincial director P/Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo identified the suspects as alias “Labo,” listed as a high-value drug pusher, and alias “Beki,” a newly identified high-value drug pusher—both residents of Binangonan, Rizal.
The suspects were apprehended in an operation conducted by operatives of the Binangonan Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay Mambog, Binangonan, at 2:45 a.m.
They were arrested after they allegedly sold one heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Recovered from the suspects were one gray plastic toolbox containing three heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, six knot-tied plastic sachets of suspected shabu, one self-sealing plastic sachet of suspected shabu, six pieces of P500 bills as recovered money, two cellular phones, one caliber .38 pistol, four live rounds of ammunition for caliber .38, a silver Suzuki Swift car, and P2,000 buy-bust money.
The total weight of the confiscated illegal drugs was 1,676.52 grams, including packaging, with an estimated standard drug price of P11,400,336.
The two suspects are now detained at the Binangonan Municipal Police Station custodial facility while facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act No. 10591, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Taytay, Rizal.
