ACMobility opens Landers Vermosa EV hub

DT

ACMobility has opened a new electric vehicle charging hub at Landers Vermosa Estate in Imus. It is the first of eleven planned sites under a multi-year partnership with Landers Superstore and marks an early step in ACMobility’s wider plan to grow the country’s charging network.

Carla Buencamino, who heads mobility infrastructure at ACMobility, said the Vermosa launch helps push electric mobility into everyday routines. She noted that the partnership supports ACMobility’s roadmap of more than 700 charging points nationwide.

After Vermosa, Landers activated its second hub in Arca South on 5 December. Nine more locations are lined up across Arcovia, Nuvali, Alabang, Balintawak, Fairview, Naga, Bacolod, Cebu and Davao.

ACMobility said the Vermosa installation follows a standard setup that future Landers sites will adopt. The hub features two 22 kW AC chargers meant to serve shoppers and nearby residents who need a convenient charging stop.

Landers Superstore deputy chief executive officer Bill Cummings said the retailer aims to add value for members by making room for EV charging alongside its usual grocery, dining and fuel services.

The collaboration forms part of ACMobility’s broader plan to build what it calls the Philippine EV Spine, a linked network of charging stations meant to support long-distance EV travel across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
