The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday said it confiscated more than ₱1.68 million worth of smuggled bathroom products during an early morning operation in Concorde Village, Barangay Tambo.
The operation, conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Regional Field Unit–National Capital Region on December 11, resulted in the arrest of a Chinese national and a Filipino woman for alleged violations of the Consumer Act of the Philippines.
Authorities seized various unregistered bathroom and sanitary items, including standing faucets, pole brackets, single poles, adhesive, ceramic toilet bowls, kitchen sinks, smart toilets, and shower hoses, along with buy-bust money.
The suspects and all confiscated items were brought to the CIDG RFU–NCR office for further investigation and the filing of appropriate charges.
