The whirlwind surrounding the reign of Miss Universe 2025 Fatima Bosch intensified this week after American Spanish-language network Telemundo publicly revealed that the newly crowned queen walked out in the middle of an interview and subsequently canceled all her scheduled appearances with the network.

In a statement released on 9 December, Telemundo wrote, “Fatima Bosch leaves Telemundo and cancels agenda with the television!”—a post that quickly spread across pageant and entertainment circles. According to the network, Bosch exited the taping of the talk show Pica y se Extiende after reportedly feeling “uncomfortable” with the line of questioning, particularly those related to the uproar currently engulfing the Miss Universe Organization (MUO).

The incident marks yet another addition to the string of controversies Bosch has been confronting since winning the crown in Mexico. A former pageant judge previously alleged that Bosch’s victory may have been influenced by her father’s supposed business ties with MUO president Raul Rocha, who himself is facing serious investigations involving arms, drug, and fuel trafficking. These claims—unverified but widely circulated—have fueled heated debate across pageant communities and cast an uneasy shadow over the competition’s credibility.

Further escalating tensions is the ongoing legal conflict between Bosch and Nawat Itsaragrisil, president of the host committee of the 74th Miss Universe held in Thailand. Nawat has reportedly taken legal action against the Mexican beauty queen following her earlier comments about their much-publicized confrontation during a pre-pageant activity—remarks he has labeled as “false” and damaging.

Despite the mounting backlash, Bosch has stood firm. In a previous statement, she described the allegations against her as part of a “campaign of hate,” vowing to defend her crown and protect her dignity amidst the turmoil.

As of this writing, neither Bosch nor the Miss Universe Organization has issued a response to Telemundo’s announcement. With questions continuing to swirl and public interest at an all-time high, the challenges facing Miss Universe 2025 show no signs of fading—placing Fatima Bosch at the center of one of the most contentious post-coronation chapters in recent pageant history.
