President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has called on Congress to fast-track key legislative reforms, directing immediate attention to five bills identified as priorities under the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC).
In a media briefing, Palace Press Office, Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro, said the President emphasized swift action on the proposed Anti-Dynasty Bill, Independent People’s Commission Act, Partylist System Reform Act, and the Citizens Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability (CADENA) Act.
“These bills aim to strengthen transparency, accountability, and equitable representation in governance,” Castro said.
During this morning’s LEDAC meeting, Castro noted that Marcos instructed the Senate and the House of Representatives to closely review the four bills and prioritize their passage as soon as possible.

“In [the] LEDAC Meeting this morning, PBBM also instructed both houses to take a closer look at the four bills and prioritize the passage as soon as possible,” she said.
Among the participants in the LEDAC meeting were Senate President Vicente Sotto III, former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Majority Leader Sandro Marcos, Senate Majority Floor Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri, and other congressional leaders.
Castro added the LEDAC discussed and “agreed on timelines for the passage of the General Appropriations Bill and the submission of enrolled bills for the President’s signature.”
