The Quezon City Police District (QCPD), through its District Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD), marked the first anniversary of the Car-Free, Carefree Tomas Morato Sundays on 7 December.
The event featured the Walk for Clean Air Campaign, which began at the National Children’s Hospital with the theme “Walk for Clean Air: Walk for the Future, Walk for Our Children,” organized by Health Care Without Harm Southeast Asia and 350 Pilipinas. Acting District Director P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio joined participants in the walk and also biked along the route.
Wellness and recreational activities were held along Scout Rallos Street, including Zumba, biking, skating, and jogging. The Quezon City Health Department (QCHD) set up a Know Your BMI station and a Mental Health Booth to provide health services to attendees.
The anniversary aimed to raise awareness about air pollution and promote community engagement in health and environmental initiatives.
