Defense Secretary Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. emphasized both modernization efforts and employee engagement during his visit to the Government Arsenal (GA), the facility responsible for supplying munitions to the military, police, and other law enforcement agencies.

During his visit earlier this week, Teodoro met with GA management to discuss ongoing initiatives aimed at upgrading the Arsenal’s facilities, equipment, and overall operational efficiency.

He underscored the Arsenal’s pivotal role in the country’s self-reliance for munitions production and pledged continued support for its development.

Aside from strategic discussions, the Defense Chief held a dialogue session with GA employees, giving them an opportunity to voice concerns, share suggestions, and raise workplace issues.

Teodoro encouraged continuous learning, collaboration, and a strong commitment to integrity and quality—stressing that a motivated and engaged workforce is essential to sustaining operational excellence.

The visit forms part of the Department of National Defense’s broader efforts to modernize defense capabilities while fostering a safe, efficient, and progressive work environment. GA personnel reported a boost in morale and renewed motivation following the engagement, highlighting the positive impact of direct leadership interaction.

According to the DND, the visit reinforces its commitment to strengthening national defense infrastructure while promoting workforce well-being and development at key defense installations.
