Step into Encantadia: UST turns campus into a realm of magic and wonder

Do you remember the last time you stepped into a world full of magic and wonder? This year, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) transformed its campus into an Encantadia spectacle, bringing one of the most beloved Filipino fantasy dramas to life. Fans of all ages could experience the enchantment firsthand, right in the heart of the university.

Encantadia first aired on GMA Network on May 2, 2005, quickly becoming a cultural phenomenon. Its appeal endures today, with Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre (2025) continuing the saga for a new generation.

The original series and its 2016 reboot revolve around the four Sang’gre sisters, entrusted with guarding their realm through the power of four elemental gems—each representing fire, water, earth, and air. The latest series builds on this legacy, introducing new heroes while preserving the magic and drama that made the show iconic.

At UST, the magic was palpable. The Main Building glowed in red, blue, green, and yellow, representing the four elemental gems and casting an ethereal light across the campus. Mystical props, fantastical corners, and Instagram-worthy installations invited students to step into the world of Encantadia. Even the smallest details, from banners to walkways, were designed to immerse visitors in this magical realm.

The theme bridged generations of fans. Longtime viewers shared the excitement with students discovering Encantadia for the first time. It became a celebration of nostalgia and new beginnings, creativity, and imagination, all rolled into one campus event.

Beyond the visuals, UST’s Encantadia theme highlighted the university’s commitment to creativity, culture, and community. School events became a space where fandom, storytelling, and student engagement intersected.

Whether taking photos, exploring the installations, or soaking in the atmosphere, visitors were invited to feel part of this enchanting universe. UST opened a portal into a world where magic felt real, stories lived on, and generations came together. Step into Encantadia, and let the adventure begin.
