The Land Transportation Office–National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) reported Tuesday that it recorded 809 apprehensions in November as part of its intensified road safety and enforcement operations.
Many of the apprehended vehicles were impounded at the LTO Central Office following operations led by the Regional Law Enforcement Unit (RLEU).
The enforcement drive was supervised by LTO Assistant Secretary and concurrent LTO-NCR director Markus Lacanilao and RLEU Chief Carl Ortega.
The 809 violations included nine vehicles operating without a valid franchise, known as “colorum” vehicles, and 67 vehicles with expired or unregistered registration, 30 of which were impounded.
Among the 67 unregistered vehicles, 29 were identified as luxury units, including four BMWs, two Porsches, a Mercedes-Benz, a Land Rover, a Mazda and a Toyota Land Cruiser.
