All roads will lead to Camiguin next year with the launch of Isle Visit Camiguin 2026, a yearlong campaign to draw travelers and adventurers to the northern Mindanao province.

Topping the schedule is Ironman 5150 set on 03 May 2026, which will bring hundreds of triathletes, event officials, and sports enthusiasts swimming around the Sunken Cemetery, and biking and running along the province’s roads.

The bike leg follows a two-loop route along the Circumferential Road from the ruins of the Spanish-era Bonbon Church and concludes at the Camiguin Sports Complex in Mambajao.

Princess Galura, president and general manager of Sunrise Events Inc., the exclusive Philippine Ironman licensee, said the race highlights both adventure and the island’s natural and cultural attractions, including Ardent Hot Springs, Sto. Niño Cold Springs, Bura Soda Pool, Walkway to the Old Volcano, Katibawasan and Tuasan waterfalls, White Island Sandbar, and Mt. Hibok-Hibok.

Visitors can also go to Mantigue Island Nature Park, recognized as the Best Eco-Tourism Destination at the first Philippine Tourism Awards of the Department of Tourism.

Governor Xavier Jesus “XJ” D. Romualdo said the campaign is expected to bring more tourists while supporting economic growth and livelihood opportunities. In 2024, Camiguin posted an 8.6 percent growth rate, the highest in Region 10 and among the top 10 nationwide, with 288,558 local and foreign visitors.

Other events under the campaign include Climb Camiguin in March, the Camiguin Dive Festival in August, the 64-km Holy Week Panaad penitential walk, and the Lanzones Festival in October.

Camiguin also offers boutique accommodations, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops for visitors to enjoy the island’s scenery.
