Sue Ramirez is welcoming 2026 with boldness, beauty, and an outpouring of support — led by her boyfriend, Dominic Roque, whose reaction to her sexy calendar debut became one of the sweetest moments of her launch.
Even before she walked onto the stage as the newest calendar cover star, Sue revealed that Dominic had been incredibly hands-on and reassuring throughout her preparation.
“I’m really proud, and I’ve been feeling under the weather lately, but he gave me vitamins and even bought me turmeric because I have to sing here. He told me, ‘Don’t drink cold water.’ He had so many reminders,” she said, smiling at his thoughtfulness.
When asked if Dominic had any reservations about her going daring, Sue explained, “That’s right… well, he’s not completely opposed. I’m for it, but you know, it’s something I really want. He doesn’t interfere with the things I want, and he’s supportive of me.”
She even joked that he hadn’t seen the layouts yet: “He hasn’t seen them yet. But I’m sure he’ll be happy — he’s my boyfriend, after all,” she laughed.
Manifestation that finally came true
Sue opened up about how long she had visualized this milestone.
“I really prayed for this, really manifested it, and claimed it — I knew that one day I would become a calendar girl. This is my manifestation — it’s what the universe gives you — and I’m so happy, so proud! I’ve been with [the brand] for a long time, and I’ve been courting the bosses for a long time,” she shared sincerely.
This moment, she said, was years in the making — one she believed the universe had been preparing for her.
Authentic, healthy and true to herself
Sue also talked about preparing for her photos without completely transforming her appearance.
“No, I don’t want to over-prepare. I still want to be myself; I still want to look like myself. I could just diet, and it actually became a wake-up call to live a healthier lifestyle because so much happened earlier this year. This became my way of getting back on track, and I’m so grateful… this really pushed me,” she said.
On choosing the final designs, she explained that it was all about trust.
“Well, of course, the brand knows the brand. I know the brand, and I trust the brand as much as the brand trusted me. So, these are the layouts we came up with, and there’s full trust in each other.”
Ending the year with gratitude
Beyond the calendar, Sue remains visible on television through her top-rated ABS-CBN series What Lies Beneath. Reflecting on her 2025, she shared:
“How did I wrap up the year? Full of gratitude, even during times when, even on the days you feel down, even on the days you’re sad, I still let my gratefulness shine. That’s how I will end my year.”
On being compared to Andrea Brillantes
Andrea Brillantes was also released as a 2026 calendar girl for another liquor brand, and comparisons surfaced online. Sue, however, responded with maturity and solidarity.
“Actually, we are not in competition. We are women uplifting each other. We are different types of women — different shapes, different looks. We all represent someone out there who is watching, and I’m proud of her for what she’s achieved in her launch. I hope she’s proud of her sister Sue, too,” she said.
