Converge boosts home net speeds with new FiberX plans

Converge ICT Solutions has rolled out a refreshed lineup of high-speed residential plans, raising the ceiling on home internet speeds at price points aimed at mainstream users and gamers.

The launch took place during the company’s “X4U: Amped Up Life with the Power of X” event at the Trinoma Activity Center, part of a three-day promotional activation.

The centerpiece of the announcement is the Super FiberX Ultra plan, now offering up to 1 Gbps for P2,599 a month. The plan previously topped out at 800 Mbps.

The upgrade positions Converge among the first local providers to offer gigabit speeds at this price range, targeting households with multiple devices and heavy data consumption.

The company also introduced Super FiberX Prime, a new tier priced at P2,099 monthly and delivering speeds of up to 800 Mbps.

Converge said the plan is designed for users who require fast downloads, streaming, and remote work capabilities but find gigabit speeds excessive for daily use.

While the higher-end plans cater to families and power users, Converge is also pursuing a niche segment: gamers.

The newly launched GameChanger EZ plan, priced at P1,800 and offering speeds of up to 400 Mbps, includes network prioritization aimed at reducing lag and latency during online gameplay.

The feature marks an attempt by Converge to differentiate itself in a space where raw speed is no longer the only metric of service quality.

Converge claims its network leads the industry in video and gaming performance based on recent Ookla Speedtest data, positioning the new plans as upgrades rather than introductory offers.
