The Makati City Police identified the suspect as 58-year-old Chedita, a resident of Trece Martires, Cavite. She was taken into custody on Monday after she attempted to enter a building along Rufino Street in Barangay San Lorenzo using a fake postal identification card.
According to authorities, “Chedita” claimed to be an employee of the establishment but was flagged by a building security officer.
The company’s human resource officer recognized the suspect as the same person involved in a “salisi” incident in the building last 17 September.
Further verification showed that the postal ID she presented was fake with the designated QR code corresponding to a different identity. “Chedita” was arrested for Falsification of Public Documents and Use of Fictitious Names.
Police said she used other aliases such as “Melinda,” “Cherry Rodriguez Tan,” “Ana Baler Rosero,” “Mae Ann Tuano Cruz,” and “Erlinda Tacata Tan.” She was also reportedly involved in previous theft cases in commercial establishments.
