The SM City Bataan conducted its annual General Formation and Inspection of Troops at the parking area of the mall in Balanga City, Bataan on 25 November 2025.
According to Mall head Mark Joriel De Leon, the said activity aims to initiate and reaffirm SM City Bataan’s commitment to safety, excellence and service. He added that the mall’s readiness efforts are vital.
Bataan Provincial Police Director (BPPO) Provincial Director Police Col. Marites A. Salvadora was the guest of honor as she inspected the frontliners and security personnel, ensuring they are all well equipped, disciplined, and prepared to meet the demands of the season and beyond.
De Leon emphasized that the formation goes beyond routine inspection—serving as a reminder of SM’s strong commitment to safety, preparedness, and frontline excellence. Outstanding security and frontline personnel were likewise recognized for their honesty, integrity, and exemplary service.
As part of the ceremony, guests also witnessed a Proficiency Demonstration by the SM Emergency Response Team (SMERT). The demonstration showcased the team’s essential role in the mall’s resiliency program. Trained to respond quickly and skillfully to medical emergencies, SMERT demonstrated their ability in administering first aid, performing rescue operations, and safely transporting individuals to proper authorities or medical facilities—highlighting SM City Bataan’s continued dedication to preparedness and public safety.
In her message, Police Col. Salvadora expressed gratitude to SM’s security team, acknowledging their vital role as the first line of defense.
“Isang taos pusong pasasalamat sa inyo, dahil kayo ay katuwang na PNP sa pagbibigay ng serbisyo sa bayan at sa pagiging alerto at disiplanado ano mang situwasyon. Mahalaga ang inyong presensya at bawat sakripisyo,” she said.
She praised their vigilance, discipline, and partnership with the PNP in promoting safety.
