At least three people died while four others were injured after a dump truck allegedly lost control and crashed into six other vehicles along Sumulong Highway in front of Victory Oil in Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo City on Tuesday morning.
Based on the initial investigation, two Isuzu dump trucks were traveling from Masinag going to Antipolo proper, while a Ford Everest and a Mitsubishi Xpander were traveling in the opposite direction.
The dump truck allegedly lost its brakes and hit the rear of the other dump truck. The impact pushed both trucks forward, hitting three motorcycles and two sports utility vehicles.
Three of the victims, including the dump truck driver, were rushed to different hospitals but were declared dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the four other injured individuals are currently in stable condition.
Police are now conducting further investigation into the accident and determining the total cost of damage to the vehicles involved in the collision.
