The holiday season has officially kicked off in the South with the dazzling lighting of its 45-foot Christmas tree at the Garden Atrium of Evia Lifestyle Center in Las Piñas. The lighting ceremony was led by Vista Mall Group Head Jing Liaz and Evia Lifestyle Center Mall Head Engr. Dexter Perdon, and revealed the tree and the guest of the night, Santa Claus, followed by a fireworks display.
The tree, adorned with sparkling Christmas lights and large Christmas balls, features a large chandelier illuminating its peak, and creating an illusion of light bursting and spreading across the sky. The tree's classic Christmas look has become a staple of the season, and this year's display does not disappoint, truly a head turner at the center of the mall.
One of the highlights of the night was the performance by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, which serenaded the crowd with classic Christmas songs and pop hits, including Ariana Grande's hits and the Grammy-nominated song "Golden," one of the official soundtracks of the movie, K-pop Demon Hunters. The music hyped up the crowd and set the tone for a joyous holiday season.
The most awaited part of the evening, other than the lighting ceremony itself, was another grand fireworks display that glimmered up the night sky. After the tree was lit up, mallgoers gathered outside, prepared their cameras, and looked up to the sky to watch the magnificent fireworks light up the night. But the magic didn't stop there as a snow blast immediately followed, making children and adults feel as if they were in a winter wonderland.
Children and their parents also lined up to meet Santa Claus and make their wishes, making the night a truly special one for families, embodying the Christmas spirit, and spreading joy to all attendees. It was a night that will be remembered and will be looked forward to again until the next Christmas season.
