BMW adds plug-in hybrid power to the 7 Series

DT

BMW Philippines has expanded its flagship sedan range with the arrival of the 750e xDrive, a plug-in hybrid model that now stands as the most attainable option in the local 7 Series family.

Priced at P7.99 million, it joins the existing gasoline-powered 735i and the fully electric i7, giving buyers three distinct paths to the brand’s top-tier luxury sedan.

The new variant pairs a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine with an electric motor, producing a combined 489hp and 700Nm of torque. Power is delivered through an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive system.

STRIKING grille design defines the 750e xDrive’s front profile.

The setup helps the 750e sprint from zero to 100kph in 4.8 seconds, while also offering a claimed electric-only range of up to 86km. With both battery and fuel tank topped up, the total driving range reaches around 750km.

The 750e mirrors the comfort and technology found in the rest of the 7 Series lineup. The cabin is finished in Veganza alternative leather combined with fine wood trims in limewood or open-pore brown.

All seats are power-adjustable with memory settings, and rear passengers get motorized sun blinds and four-zone climate control. A Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, panoramic glass roof, and BMW Live Cockpit Plus are also fitted as standard equipment. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with wireless charging and eSIM connectivity.

The new PHEV variant retains the bold styling cues of the current 7 Series generation. The illuminated kidney grille frames adaptive LED headlights, while 20-inch bicolor alloy wheels round off its appearance. Soft-close doors and Comfort Access come standard, emphasizing convenience alongside the sedan’s premium feel.

Every 750e xDrive comes with a portable flexi charger and BMW’s five-year comprehensive warranty, covering up to 200,000 kilometers.

The model aims to deliver flexibility for long drives while offering an emissions-free option for shorter trips. It also expands BMW’s electrified offerings in the Philippines, joining the XM, X5 xDrive50e, and X3 30e PHEVs already in the lineup.
