MG Motor Philippines has added a new model to its lineup with the arrival of the all-new 2026 MG HS Hybrid+, a compact crossover positioned as a more modern and fuel-efficient option in the brand’s catalog.

Priced at P1,398,888, with an introductory offer of P1,388,888, the HS Hybrid+ enters the market as MG’s newest electrified entry aimed at daily motorists looking for a bit more performance and comfort.

The HS Hybrid+ is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a high-output electric motor, producing a combined 224 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque. MG says the model is designed to offer smooth acceleration and steady power delivery, whether used in city traffic or on longer drives.

THE cabin layout centers on the wide dual-screen display.

Fuel economy is rated at 21.55 km/L by the Automobile Association Philippines, giving the vehicle a noticeable bump in efficiency compared to traditional gasoline crossovers.

The hybrid system is supported by a 1.83 kWh battery and a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission. The setup allows the car to shift seamlessly between electric, hybrid, and engine-drive modes, with no need for external charging.

MG notes that the vehicle uses eight propulsion modes that automatically adjust depending on speed, load and driving conditions.

In terms of size, the HS Hybrid+ sits squarely in the compact crossover category. It measures 4,670 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, and 1,663 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm.

This longer wheelbase translates to more interior room for five passengers, plus a flexible cargo area that expands to 1,291 liters with the rear seats folded.

The exterior design features MG’s latest styling, including Digital Matrix LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a hands-free power tailgate for added convenience.

The cabin highlights a more premium feel compared to earlier MG crossovers. A large 12.3-inch dual-screen layout houses the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Wireless charging, dual-zone climate control with a dust filter, leather seats, and power adjustments for both front occupants round out the interior amenities. The driver’s seat includes memory settings, while rear passengers benefit from dedicated AC vents.

Aside from the multimedia system, the HS Hybrid+ includes features such as reverse auto-tilting mirrors, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and multiple vehicle management systems designed to assist with stability, traction, and overall drivability.

The HS Hybrid+ is offered in Black Pearl, Lunar Gray, Pearl White, Champagne Silver, and Diamond Red colors.
