Motorcyclist dies after being run over by dump truck in Rodriguez, Rizal

A motorcycle rider died on the spot after being run over by a 12-wheeler dump truck along Don Mariano Avenue, Barangay San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal, on Tuesday night.

According to the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station, they received information from a concerned citizen regarding the road crash incident.

It was learned that the victim's motorcycle crashed and went under the wheels of the dump truck, which resulted in his instantaneous death.

The victim was identified only by the alias Gilbert, a resident of Phase 1E, Kasiglahan Village. He was riding a Rusi RFI 175 motorcycle (plate number 591QYK) when the incident happened.

Meanwhile, the unidentified driver of the dump truck with plate number NGS 1610 immediately fled after the incident and was last seen heading toward the crossing.

Police are now conducting follow-up operations for the possible arrest of the suspect.
