Ellen Adarna exposes Derek Ramsay’s alleged cheating — netizens: 'Once a cheater, always a cheater'

Celebrity Ellen Adarna is once again at the center of online buzz — this time after dropping what netizens are calling receipts pointing to alleged infidelity by actor Derek Ramsay.

With the timing and screenshots she released, many online users have revived the old warning, “once a cheater, always a cheater.”

On Monday, 17 November, Adarna posted a series of Instagram Stories containing screenshots, clarifications about her relationship timeline, and answers to fan questions. Her tone was a mix of disbelief and exhaustion, summed up in one blunt line: “The audacity. Wow. The Audacity era. Wow. Sad boi era. Wow. Victim. Wow. Sympathy fishing. #manchild.”

Her posts came just hours after Ramsay reshared a quote card discussing marriages having “six stages” and “most couples giving up at stage 3.”

The screenshots Adarna posted were dated February 13, 2021 — only nine days after she and Ramsay officially became a couple (February 4, 2021). For many, that timeline alone fueled the “cheater mindset” narrative. In the exchanges, Ramsay appeared to be persistently messaging another woman, who expressed frustration over his repeated attempts to contact her.

As the unnamed woman allegedly wrote: “Tapos he literally messaged me everywhere — IG, Whatsapp, and text if I’m avoiding him […] Parang puro excuse nalang siya always… Kaya ayoko na kausap.”

Adarna highlighted how telling the timeline is, noting that even stereotypical cheaters usually “forget” the side chick during the honeymoon phase. “But this is 9 days […] hands down,” she said.

When asked why she still went on to marry Ramsay, Adarna clarified that she only learned about these messages recently: “Nakita mo ba ang post? I said I found out about it 3 weeks ago, like this month only. Okay, may nagsumbong sa akin.”

She added that although she wanted to reveal the woman’s identity, her legal team advised against it: “As much as I’d want to reveal who this girl is, my lawyers advised me not to. I can get in trouble […] But she is not an ex-girlfriend. They’ve been friends for decades, and she’s always been there.”

Adarna also took a jab at rumor-spreaders: “Ano na mga pambansang marites? Anong pinaglalaban nyo sa smear campaigns nyo? I have more, but will release it at the right time and the proper forum.”

Meanwhile, she described John Lloyd Cruz as a "present father" and hands-on with their son, Elias.

This is not the first time Adarna has publicly addressed rumors. In October, she dismissed speculation involving Sarah Lahbati in her supposed breakup with Ramsay, joking: “Since when were u a house agent???” and telling Ogie Diaz: “Tawang-tawa kami ni Sarah sayo.”

Adarna recently celebrated her daughter Lily’s first birthday surrounded by friends. Ramsay, although not seen in the event photos, posted his own tribute to Lily, calling her his “sweet Lilyput” and “the best thing that has ever happened” to him.

'Once a cheater always a cheater'

Following Adarna’s new revelations, social media filled with commentary, sympathy, and opinions about infidelity. One netizen summed up the dominant sentiment: “Once a cheater always a cheater talaga […] rare lang ang taong nagbabago, 1% lang.”

As of this writing, Ramsay has not responded to Adarna’s latest claims.

He has, however, consistently denied cheating rumors over the years. In September 2025, amid online speculation amplified by Xian Gaza, Ramsay declared there was “no truth to anything that was said.” Adarna also previously responded to a netizen who asked why she married a man with alleged infidelity issues, reiterating her timeline and that she only learned about the 2021 messages this year.

Ramsay has faced similar unverified allegations in past high-profile relationships. In 2021, during his engagement to Adarna, he promised her directly: “No, I will not cheat on you.”
