The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Friday urged government agencies and its members to immediately file property and vehicle insurance claims following the widespread destruction caused by Typhoons Tino and Uwan.
The state-run insurer said it is fast-tracking claim processing as two successive typhoons left heavy damage to homes, offices, and public infrastructure across multiple regions.
“In the face of these successive calamities, our commitment is to help our members and our nation rebuild as quickly as possible,” GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso said. “Insuring your properties provides a critical safety net, and the GSIS is here to ensure that our clients receive the benefits they are entitled to without delay.”
GSIS encouraged affected agencies and individuals to notify the insurer as soon as possible—even before completing full documentation—so assessment and support processes can begin immediately.
The agency released its hotline numbers and dedicated email addresses for property and motor vehicle claims to guide members through the filing process.
