The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) conducted a study visit to the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla, Pune, India, from 28 to 30 October 2025.
The delegation was led by Colonel Charity Fuentespina Prof (GSC), Executive Officer of PMA’s Headquarters Academic Group.
The team examined NDA’s curriculum design, instructional methods, cadet support systems, and mentoring practices, with particular attention to experiential learning, hybrid education models, and performance monitoring in cadet training.
The visit also allowed PMA to compare curriculum distribution as it continues updates to the Bachelor of Science in Military Science and Strategy program.
The activity aligns with the Philippines’ broader defense cooperation with India.
Earlier this year, four PMA cadets were deployed to India under the strengthened defense cooperation agreement, supporting professional exchanges between the two countries’ military institutions.
“PMA continues to pursue international engagements to benchmark academic systems, reinforce defense relations, and elevate its quality assurance efforts — consistent with the Academy’s transformation into a globally competitive defense learning institution,” PMa Public Affairs acting chief LCDR Jermaine Dacanay said in a statement Wednesday.
