ORION, Bataan — A 34-year-old woman who was allegedly stripped and assaulted by her husband was rescued by the Bataan Provincial Police in Orion, Bataan, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Provincial Director PCOL Marites A. Salvadora, the victim, identified only as “Ces,” was found along Roman Superhighway in Barangay Bilolo, seeking help after reportedly being attacked by her husband.
Salvadora said her team immediately responded to the call for assistance, providing the woman with a jacket before bringing her safely to the Orion Municipal Police Station.
The provincial director also personally provided clothing, shoes, food, and water to the victim, ensuring that her immediate needs were met.
“It’s a good thing she was rescued quickly. Something even worse could have happened to her,” Salvadora said.
The woman is now under the care of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) of the Orion police, which is providing her with psychological and legal assistance.
The Bataan PNP urged women experiencing abuse to seek help immediately at their nearest police station, assuring them of full protection and support under the law.
