The Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office 3 has distributed P18,360,000 worth of farming machinery to farmers from three provinces in Central Luzon. The turnover took place from November 4 to 6, 2025, at the Research Outreach Station for Lowland Development in Paraiso, Tarlac.
The initiative aims to boost farm mechanization, reduce production costs, and increase harvest yield and income among farmers in the region.
A total of 13 units of farm machinery were provided to farmer cooperatives and associations.
In Bulacan, six units of four-wheel drive tractors were awarded to the Sapang Putik Sahod Ulan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, Colonia Palay Vegetables Farmers Irrigators Association of San Ildefonso, Inc., Pinambaran Farmers Association Coop, Pulong Yantok Rice and Livestock Farmers Association, Sta. Catalina Bata-Matanda Irrigators Association, Inc., and Biyaya ng Matangtubig Irrigators Association, Inc.
In Tarlac, two rice combine harvesters and two hand tractors were given to the Sta. Maria Kapatanian Agriculture Cooperative, Bagong Jerusalem Farmers Field School Agriculture Cooperative, and Aranguren Agriculture Cooperative.
Meanwhile, in Zambales, three units of four-wheel drive tractors worth P4,800,000 were turned over to the Reserva Baculi Lowland and Upland Farmers Association, the Malabago Farmers Association, and the Biay Farmers Agriculture Cooperative.
Dr. Ricky Manguerra, Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer (APCO) of Tarlac, and Memito Luyun III, APCO of Bulacan, attended the turnover ceremony to express their support for the program.
