Fallen power cables from a solar power company along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Castellano, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija, were cleared early morning on 10 November 2025.

According to Mayor Nina Nagano Joson, the cables from Terra Solar Philippines, Inc. fell and obstructed the highway last night after one of the transmission towers collapsed due to the loss of its anchors. The tower was found to be missing anchor bolts and nuts on three of its four legs, with only one leg remaining secured, causing the structure to give way.

No casualties were reported.

Joson urged residents to avoid tampering with or stealing infrastructure parts.

"Ang ganitong gawain ay labag sa batas at may katapat na parusang pagkakakulong, bukod sa panganib na maaaring idulot nito sa ating mga kababayan," she said.

The mayor thanked the agencies involved in clearing operations, allowing Maharlika Highway to become passable again.
