As one of the most vocal celebrities against corruption in government, Carla Abellana didn’t flinch a bit when asked what she considers the biggest nightmare of her life.
Asked about that during the pocket presscon for her and Loisa Andalio for Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins, Abellana did not mince words with her answer: “Taxes.”
“More than half of my existence, I was crying about it,” Abellana confessed.
In recent weeks, Abellana has expressed her frustration over paying taxes after learning the billowing issues of corruption.
She admitted in an interview that she struggled with her tax bill which amounted to P364,000 as TV and movie projects come far and in between.
In the SRR pocket presscon, Abellana shared her several encounters with ghosts and paranormal activities.
She recalled waking at night after hearing cries. When she peeked through her bedroom window, the cries grew louder.
Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri sans their loveteam partners
Slowly, Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri are being plucked from their love team to chart a careerr of their own.
Echarri was the first to bolt out from as he appeared in Pamilya Sagrado without the benefit of his usual love team.
Pangilinan, who starred in a string of hit romantic series with Belle Mariano, is now fledglingly trying to chart a solo career.
Both are leading the action pack of ROJA, a Dreamscape Entertainment production where they play warring friends tested by circumstances beyond their control.
“At first, of course, nakakapanibago (different) because Belle (Mariano) we’re used to working with each other on how we do things. But after some time, you just have to realize why this is good also. You can do things that you don’t know you can do or do scenes which you will never see in a rom-com,” Pangilinan said in a pocket presscon for him and Echarri.
“I think it’s very different but it does give you a different kind of love for your craft,” he added.
“For me, I’ve worked with different leading ladies for over the past years. There is still that angle. There is still that angle that people will look forward to. I think they’re just comparing it to before,” Echarri said.
“I’m happy that I’m able to focus more on myself. I really have to discipline myself, rely only on myself because when you’re working in a love team, it’s nice to have the comfort of someone there to push you. At least now, I have Donny. We’re able to work that way,” he added.
ROJA will stream first on Netflix (21 November), iWant (22 November) and Kapamilya Online Live (24 November).
